Barrel contour on a long range hunting rifle?

I'm pretty happy so far with my 26" Rock Creek #2. Whole build weighs in at 6.85 lbs. 8 with a Vx5hd on top. That being said, for your needs j would be leaning towards a light Palma contour.

For a long range hunting rifle below 338 I run a #5 or a Wheeler #4 which is a 4 with a .700 muzzle, I've built with big heavy truck axles down and that's the sweet spot. On a 338 long ranger I like a Med Palma, still not overly heavy but balances perfect.
