Barrel channel aesthetics

How bad is a Remington varmint going to look in a stock that's got a proof carbon contour? Barrel will eventually be swapped but I've decided to do a good stock first.

How bad is a Remington varmint going to look in a stock that's got a proof carbon contour? Barrel will eventually be swapped but I've decided to do a good stock first.

Just have the barrel channel filled while leaving enough room for the smaller contour barrel to be free floated. My gunsmith did one for me and it looks fine.

Rem Varmint #13 contour is .830" @ 26" muzzle diameter.

Proof Sendero is .91" @ 26" muzzle diameter.

Difference of .080". Or .040" on either side. 1/25"
