I walked up to the steel at 800 yards and saw my impacts (see the photo) and my hold. I could not see the impact through the spotter or scope (15x) That MV is 3220 at 65 degrees or so. I'm going to Doppler it again this week.If you didn't find your impacts at 800 yards, how do you know you were missing the target low? I think you've got to get on paper before you start making corrections.
Also hard to believe the MV for your 300 WSM is only 3050fps for a 138 bullet?
5.3 MILS, held at 12:00 on edge of plate as shown in the photo. How many "ups" did you dial before you shot the 800 yard target?
I was actually 24" low at 5.3 MILSI you are indeed 16 inches low after dialing 5.3 mils (which is what my calculator shows as the required up for 800 yards) and the other data you provided , your new G7 BC is .175
The new required mils is 5.8. I used 65 degrees, 1000 ft of elevation and 30% humidity
ok, G7 BC is .166 and mils is 6.1I was actually 24" low at 5.3 MILS
