Backfire Recoil Pad

I installed a HNT 26 on my 28 Nosler and could definitely feel much more recoil compared to being installed in my manners EH1A. The recoil became very noticeable after the switch so I decided to try the Backfire pad. I was very pleased with the noticeable reduction in recoil so I bought others for my HNT 26's. After installing the Backfire pad, the recoil felt less than when it was in my EH1A stock. So for me, it worked. **Sidebar - We are all in this together guys, negative comments about a person in our craft/hobby shouldn't be tolerated. The products, go for it, but the person should not be a target.**

I put one of the Backfire ones on an unbraked Tikka T3 7mm RM. Definitely made a difference.

How that compares to the limbsaver I cannot say.

I can also say from experience that leaving the cover on negates the effects! 😄

My son put one on his 7PRC HNT26, swears by it. I just ordered one for an XLR 4.0 Element magnesium with the carbon butt stock that runs either a 7PRC or 300PRC. Arrives Monday.

I shot a Tikka lite 7mm rem mag with a factory wood stock using Nosler 160g accubonds and it was very painful. After installing a Limbsaver recoil pad it became very comfortable to shoot.
That being said, I would love to hear more results of someone that shot the same rifle with a both a Limbsaver and a Backstop recoil pad.

Sims Laboratories Limbsaver! It is NOT hype. It is felt recoil reduction. I have a whole bunch of Limbsavers; one on every hard kicking long gun I own.
The Backfire recoil pad is not hype. It performs as advertised. I have both the Limbsaver and Bacfire. On different caliber rifles so hard to compare which one is better. I just bought another Backfire for my Tikka 270, and a Limbsaver for the Remington 700 338 mag, only because there is no Backfire for it at the present time.

As for those of you with negative comments about Jims show> I find it informative and entertaining. :) While his opinions might not match yours, it doesn't mean that he is wrong or a ding dong. I like the fact that he goes out and shoots, and invites others to shoot with him. He doesn't just sit in his Den and talk about things. He goes out and proves or disproves whatever theory he is dealing with on any given date.

For those of you who think you know better, or can shoot better, take one of his challenges and go out and try some of the shooting challenges. Be interesting to see how you do.

He tells it like it is, and I am sure that it offends some people's tender sensitivities. So be it. If he likes something, he doesn't just say he likes it, but he tells you the pros and cons and let's you make up your own mind. Some manufacturers probably don't like his program because if they are producing a substandard product, he doesn't pull punches and simply states what it's problems are. Don't expect him to praise a piece of junk like some others. It won't happen. I much prefer an honest evaluation than one that skirts around the truth.
Then there is always the choice. You live in a free country because of the sacrifice of soldiers and sailors.🥰 You have freedom of choice. If ya don't like the program, simply click on another one.

Terri Anne, I did not say Backfire is hype. I have no experience with it.

I did say that Limbsaver is not hype. And I stand by my statement.

Neither are hype. Both perform as advertised. I have bot Limb Saver and Backfire but on different rifles of different weights and calibers. As far as I can tell, they have similar recoil reduction.
