AZ Unit 3c Elk

I would sincerely appreciate it, and my son would as well. It's been a frustrating few days to say the least for him.
It can be a tough hunt, the success rate on those late bull hunts isn't very high but it can also be rewarding. I'm sending a PM, might be helpful but might not be.

Question, you don't work for UPS do you. My UPS driver is out in 3C too with his son. Made me wonder.

We dove into some serious canyon country today.. Got lucky and filled another tag, my SIL connected on a small bull. Pic attached. Took us all day to get him boned out and packed out. He was getting discouraged, hadn't seen bull all hunt, just cows. He's hooked. Keep your son encouraged if you can, it's nice seeing young men get out in the woods with their family.

Edit; I can't send you a PM for some reason. If you want to send me your email or another way to communicate let me know. I'm not going out tomorrow, need to tend to some work stuff. I wasn't able to reach my buddies who are on that hunt today, they went into some rough country and I haven't heard from them, they will call when they are back on the grid. I did see two more bulls in the right a way an hour before light on our way out this morning. I'll give you the mile marker if I can, I haven't seen anyone hunting that area the whole hunt. I see them up the road a ways but not where I've been seeing those bulls. I don't want to post my cell here but if we can I'm happy to chat tomorrow.

Good luck!

Congratulations! 2 for 2 for this time of year is awesome! You've got a lot meat in the freezer and hopefully some jerky and summer sausage coming too!

No, just a coincidence. Seems to be a lot hunting in this area. My son has a friend who has a cow tag in 3C.

I get the frustration and my son gets it too. Can't believe the amount of hunters out in areas I wouldn't have expected and even more just random people out in the middle of nowhere. Even cane across several different people/families logging with chainsaws…that was different.

Did finally glass a few cows up right before dark in the Pinedale-ish area, but they barely came out of the treeline so couldn't tell if there was a bull with them or not. Probably not, keep on keeping on.

I had the same issue with PMs here as well. I'm glad it's not just me.
My e-mail address is [email protected] it you have any mile markers or ideas of what canyons or hiding spots they might be in right now. He's chomping at the bit to get one…he's definitely been bit by the hunting and fishing bug!
