Are you Satisfied?

Am I the only one that is not contributing to the Shortage? Am I the only one that has all I need on the shelf (not that much, but I am not planning for the apocalypse either) and not looking to getting any more till prices drop?
Over the years I just get what I need to keep a decent supply and dont respond to every little , "Hey, guys, I found this......" .
No, you are not alone.

I've found a good approach is to change what I think I need. I've sold all my h1000, rl23, 7977, and a few other "panic powders" and have taken the opportunity to get to know some less loved powders that are more frequently in stock (superformance, leverevolution, a few others) for decent prices still. I didn't want to quit shooting, had lots of
Other expenses…so i sold my h1000 for
Three times what I paid for it ON AUCTION…didn't rip anyone off, just put it out there for the highest bidder on a gun auction.

I just started reloading a year or so ago. Make sure to only buy what I need and always try to leave for others. Also have gotten pretty good at helping people find what they need,we should all assist each other

Well no, that would create an explosion. You get an explosion with smokeless powder when you create a pressure vessel.

When it's trapped in a container heat and pressure both accelerate exponentially until either the vessel ruptures or you run out of fuel.

That's why when you cap one end of a pipe and put some powder and a rock in it you have a cannon, and why when you screw caps on both ends you have a pipe bomb.
well, I guess my sarcasm was lost, sounded too serious...???

I'm about to have to buy a new cabinet to hold all of the reloading stuff I have bought in the last 12 months. I've probably got 50lbs+ of powder now, 10k primers, and 5k bullets. In addition to a pretty serious supply of factory ammo..

I'm gonna sit the next shortage out, you guys let me know how it goes.
Until they come out with some new fang-dango caliber you can't live without and have to start all over again. LOL

I buy it when I see it.
I don't see it being back to the old days ever again. We might see spells of stuff popping up, but over the long haul it's just going to get worse. 10 years you might not see anything. If you do it'll be 150$ pound.
Sad outlook on things but unfortunately I have to agree with everything that you said. We will never see what we used to think was an average or good deal on components again. Once the genie is out of bottle it is near impossible to get it back in and now the companies know that some people will pay whatever price they ask they won't be backing off the prices, ever. It doesn't help our situation when one group of companies pretty much now has a monopoly on ammo, primers, some powders, and some other factory components.

A fair point. The newest, latest, greatest, coolest etc are driving a lot of this but at the same time they are bringing millions of new shooters and their votes into the sport while at the same time competing with everyone who came before for, firearms, ammo, components etc.
