Who made it and lets get pics once you take some. I would have a hard time workibg knowing my gun is gonna be there when i get off.

Kevin Weaver at Weaver Rifles in CO done the barreled action

If McMillian would hurry up with my stock I would love to shoot this thing. Still a couple more weeks waiting on my A5 to put this thing in.

Nice scope, i have one on my 243ai and two on the way sone time in the near future(vortex is 7 months slow). Good looking rig though.

Nathan Foster who builds the 7 Practical is getting 3088 fps with the 190 gr Matrix with a BC of .807. I think it's TerminalBalistics.com

Broz,
I can now see why you wouldnt shoot that shoot....

Benchmark any day is suppose to be getting the tool to make a 8.5 twist 7 mm barre, i told them i wanted a 30" medium palma blank so i can fling the heavier some time.

So Calib, did you get the oil burned off of that AI?

I am probably going to order a Hart in 8.5 , I want to build a shorter rifle for a scabbard on the horse when chasing wolves. But I have such a hard time building light short rifles...:D

I think i did more than that, i think my round count exceeded its life expectancy.

We all know you like long heavy rifles.

Ok, I have been following this thread since page 1, for a while now. I even copied all the print view pages into a single file so I can read it all anytime I want and I don't have to go back page by page looking for a piece of information. What can I say, I'm an engineer! I'm finally getting around to doing a build, just started working with my smith.

So it looks like some have taken the approach of stepping down in neck size using a type s 300 win bushing. Others just use a 7mm RM neck sizing die just backed out. Has anyone had any problems taking the brass down in size so fast?

I've seen most of the recipes for H1000. I've got some other powders laying around. Anyone try any loads with Reloader22? I have some that I load for 300 wby.

Godspeed.

I have ran 75gr of RL25 under 150gr ballistic tips in mine just to put a few rounds down the new barrel while i'm waiting on a stock to get here so that I can do accuracy testing. I did do some pressure testing with the 180s and h1000. mine seems to have a rather short throat. i'm measuring the lands 2.880 at the ogive and jumping them .020 I maxed pressure at 76gr of h1000 and backed it down to 75gr which it seems to like pretty well considering its in a temp hacked up stock.

I've successfully used a backed-out 7 RM neck sizing die to perform the initial neck sizing down from 308 to 284 for my 7mm Valkyrie (7-300 WM w/37 deg shoulder & blown out case body). Works well. Just an RCBS 7 RM neck sizer.
