Anyone know pistol caliber of recent grizzly kill?

I carry a Springfield xD in 10mm, I carry 40 S&W duty ammo in one mag and hard cast 10mm in the other. I change mags depending on what I'm doing and where I'm going. Shot a brown bear with the hard cast in May. 40+ inches of penetration

I haven't seen anything on a recent attack. Planning hunt In Montana this fall. Was told to bring pistol for bear. Only thing I have that i would consider is a 357mag or 45. Hoping the 357 is enough. Guess I don't need to hopen and need to know....
