I called Game and Fish today to check on the legality of using scopes with illuminated reticles to hunt big game. He said that the way the law reads now, those scopes weren't legal. However, they are working on changing the wording of the law to allow scopes with illuminated reticles, red dot scopes and rangefinding scopes. I was informed that there would be a meeting at the regional office in Casper on April 1st at 7:00 to allow the public to voice their opinion. He encouraged me to come and bring anyone else along who is knowledgeable to have a say too. The committee will make their decision on the 24th. If you can't make it, you can submit something in writing, but I'm not sure of the due date and where to send it.
