Anybody having luck with the eld vt bullets

I recently put together a Tikka with a 20 inch Ace barrels 7 twist. I'm loading the 62's about .005 off the lands running them at 3000 FPS. They're shooting great, last week I shot a 5 shot group at 700 yards that was just over 1/2 MOA.

I shot a couple whitetail does with this setup at about 100 yards and 450 yards. Dumped both of them on the spot.

What cartridge? .223?

Hoping to see more reports of terminal performance on coyotes. Post up if you have experience. I have been reading mixed reviews with run-aways and yes, I realize bullets can't fix shot placement problems, but some bullets have an explosive reputation.

I loaded the 100 grain ELD-VT in my 6.5 SAUM. A seven shot pressure ladder, 54-60 gr H4831, jumped 0.02 went into 0.75 inch at 100 yds. Got to 3500 fps with no signs of high pressure. I'm pretty sure I can make a load out of that somehow.

Stabal-6.5 from 25.25" bbl 22-250 at 3670 fps. I found them to be excellent. They are the new highest BC varmint bullet.

I have been wanting to experiment with the 100 grain 6.5 VT in my short 6.5 PRC. Haven't had the chance to play with it yet, but I'm thinking it would make a great coyote/mountain lion load. If that doesn't work out, they could also be fun in the match gun for rockchucks.

I tried a few combos with the 62g VT in my 8 twist 223AI, and they all shot like hot garbage. I was treating them like vmax and/or ELDs, like I tried .005-.025" off the lands after finding pressure with a couple different powders.
I've never had anything group as poorly as these did in this rifle, like 2-3" groups.
I'm at a loss as to how to make them shoot decent groups.
