Looking to start a conversation on these. I have just started playing with them in a 300 NMI. I had some very promising results while fire forming brass. This rifle has a 8 1/2" twist and was built for 245 bergers so I am planning on doing another one with a 8" twist just for these bullets... looking to see if anyone has any experience or expertise to share.

Here's a few pics, bottom bullet is a 215 Berger, next is a 212, 3rd was recovered at 200 yards, 4th was recovered at 680 yards (Impact velocity 2150).

Borrowed from Swamplord:

Hey, thanks for the info. I have seen that thread and video. The video put some wind in my sails that other people are starting to explore this bullet again. I committed and bought 1000 of them after my testing. Really looking forward to see how they expand at distance.

just heard about this pill yesterday, pretty neat

this is a good watch if you have the time. i know its not your cal. but it goes deep about the LRX

I watched this and it got me thinking about it for a rifle that I am in the conceptual design phase, as this will be my entry into the long range world. I'm considering a 300 RUM with a 1-8 twist and it seems like this bullet would be a good fit for it. Now to convince my buddy/ mentor that it is a spicy meatball…

I think that would be a killer setup. Just know that it would be a single shot only with the long RUM case.
