Any practical uses for antler?

I sold a bunch of whitetail antlers for over $700.00 this year.
They give $12-15.00 a pound for them in WY and always running ads.
Had many years worth of racks and, like you I had no room or idea what I wanted to do with them.

Interesting, I'll have to do some research around here. Might be a good chunk towards a new rifle.

Hey there's a happy looking fella! Yeah I've got 4 German Shepherds that'd love to have them. Probably what most of it will go towards except for a few decorative pieces.

The same thing I do with them I bet they just get more money though

They broker them. Some go to Asian markets, some go for lamp and furniture making, and some for dog chews... depending on quality and size.
The buyers do this full-time and travel around to various states with large trailers. The guy I sold to was from Utah and had a large flatbed trailer, a large enclosed trailer, and his pickup full of antlers. They run ads in the paper and post notices in gas stations and stores as to when and where they will be buying.

Curious what folks do with any extra antler they have laying around. I've got some bone taking up precious shop space and need to make room. I was thinking dog chews and a couple knife handles but was wondering what other people do. No more room in the house.

That is another good use I don't have any drawer pulls in my house but the handles on all the doors on my wife's chicken coop are antlers

Another solid alternative. I'll be remodeling my reloading room next year and plan on a large built in cabinet/cupboard/workbench filling one wall. Having antler hardware for pulls and knobs would be a nice touch.

I've seen some pretty neat light fixtures built from antlers.

Ive done polished drawer pulls on buttons,buttons,elk rack with mirror behind for gun rack,tool holders in shop,chandelier,pedistal mounts and furniture pieces
