Another reason Why I hate California

No AZ. Wife is originally from MN and will not go anywhere it gets cold. LOL
BTW we did not bring the idiocy with us. We are political refugees.
I hear ya. I'm originally from Illinois. Grew up in the farmlands before the move to LA basin. Hated it there.
That's why I retired and moved to Oregon and got my own ffl no worries now b.ross
Unfortunately Oregon isn't much better depending on where you are at.

I used to do business with a power plant in CA.
They were burning biomass to make power.
Green energy right?
Nope, put out of business by regulations and legalize on getting rid of the ASH...
Yet they still field burn straw...
Insanity.
Then they thought it was a good idea to make power companies libel for all fires, even if there was no negligence.
PPG bankrupt and now rolling blackouts.

"Hey, if we are responsible for every fire, we need to shut power off in fire season. "

You can not make this stuff up.

They think they are too big, too powerful of an economy to fail.

Well, they are wrong.

Insanity is really, really expensive.

Ask Venezuela.

When you allow populism, socialism, and mass hysteria to rule your State, it is simply a matter of when, not if your State will fail.

They really don't have much of a clue on realistic environmentalism. You'd see the oil refineries down there burning off nat gas, like most plants do, because they didn't have enough storage capacity. T Boone Piken advocated using nat gas to run vehicles because of it's clean burning properties. But noooooo it would release CO2 so that's no good. So we just burn the excess. Makes perfect sense huh?!?!? Okay rant over lol.

I'm honestly sorry that you live in CA. I moved from MD to AZ because of their stupid anti-gun laws and haven't been happier, politically wise. The heat is another thing. :( I can walk into a store and purchase ammo or reloading supplies without showing any identification. I can pull out my DL and CCW and walk out of a gun store in 5 minutes with just about anything I want. California has a lot to offer nature wise, mountains, ocean, lakes, etc but the social and political climate are horrendous. Same with MD.

Remember, you only have to put up with this because you allow it.
Tell that to all of the carpet-bagger liberals who have ruined a perfectly good State. It is not that we're putting up with it. It is that we're being out-voted by those that want to suckle the gov't udder.

Most refineries with a burning flame are not burning Nat Gas. They're burning H2S, a volatile and dangerously explosive gas that has no odor but is heavier than air (so it pools in low spots) and burns your sense of smell on the first whiff. By the third or fourth whiff you're dead. Burning it produces acid rain, but the stuff is so dangerous that even the most rabid enviro regulator signs off on it.

U-Haul and others have been dealing with that problem for about a decade that I know of.

I turn 55 this December. Decided to buy myself a wonderful senior citizen gift for myself in the form of a GA Precision Crusader in 6.5 PRC. It was suppose to be completed in early December but it arrived at the gun store a week ago. I started to fill out the paperwork and the salesman says I need my social security card and a utility bill showing the same address as my driver license. Is this just a California thing because last year when I purchased a rifle, my license and my retired sheriff ID was good enough. And don't even get me started on the taxes here.

First off, it's not in me to 'hate' anything, person or entity. Wasn't raised that way. People use that word 'hate' way too loosely today in my view.

I 'dislike' things, one of them is Kalifornia. Not going there, don't want to. My first duty station was San Diego and while I was much younger than and enjoyed the little time I had before shipping out, I have no desire to ever go back. Again, in my view, Kalifornia is the most screwed up State in the Union, from it's politics to it's draconian laws concerning firearms and a host of other things as well.

My 2 cents.

Just did the paper work for a new rifle. Since I do not travel by air, I figured that I didn't need the dreaded"Real ID" license. Wrong, the clerk told me that the DROS form is a federal transaction so if no "Real ID" you need a birth certificate or valid pass port (even though the state department website says an expired passport is still viable for identification.Fortunately, I knew where my birth certificate was. By the way, even though trhe feds do a back ground check, our former illustrious AG, Kamala Harris insisted that Calif had the right to do their own background check.

Ain't it fun? I have the firearms I need and want, yeah there are more I want but I can only shoot one at a time. Still trying to convince my wife we need to leave so we will have more money and freedoms in our retirement.
I reload for accuracy and repeatability so I am not controlled there, yet. I am allowed to bring 22 WMR into ☭california as my son who lives in the United States of America gifts them to me. The only way it is legal to bring ammo into state without showing that you are against our constitution.

Well...maybe all voting should be revised as to the constitutions real wording......(which I will paraphrase)..
If "A PERSON OWNS REAL PROPERTY(as in land)" you have the RIGHT TO VOTE....
If you are a renter...you don't have a vote....
This would wipe out a lot of illegal voting...
Not everyone in any state is supposed to vote.....
As of right now..i wouldn't get to vote as I am currently leasing a property.........

There was a few days when the value of natural gas from some major fields was negative....companies were PAYING the pipelines to take it.

I and some others would argue that, bad as California is, Illinois and New York are worse.
