Had 16 down by noon. Slow day. Still need to get more weather. Oh, and my shotgun broke. Turned into a single shot since the cap on my tube spring blew up and the plug and spring came shooting out the bottom.

My grandfather gave me his browning gold hunter 12 last year. Since he doesn't hunt waterfowl anymore. He said he had only used it one season, (his last). I'm guessing I got water on it in 18° weather and froze. What shotgun are you shooting?
Very! 18° this day.Y'all look cold it's 80 in Texas
Nope. Ones a Gaddy hen.Too many hens
Those semi autos can be a little finicky when it gets cold .My grandfather gave me his browning gold hunter 12 last year. Since he doesn't hunt waterfowl anymore. He said he had only used it one season, (his last). I'm guessing I got water on it in 18° weather and froze.
Never shot one unfortunately. They sometimes pass through our area but I've only seen 2 in my years here.Saw a few woodies this morning
Too many hens
How they taste compared to mallards? They get thick here
