I saw a fellow shooting the 182HHT in a 300 Weatherby killed a Brownie on the Hammer site, shot three times all thru and thru
Requires a 1:9 or faster twist rate. I think 182 HHT would be a nice bullet to work with. Not the best BC as estimated however.+1 for the 203 HHT bullet! A fellow on the Hammer site had this bullet going above 3300 fps with N570 in a 300 RUM!

If interested - There's a guy who has a bunch of Nosler 200 gr Accubonds for sale in the classifieds right now. Excellent bullet and very hard to come by.
That's true enough but I'll also be using the same bullet to take a Caribou which could be at a long distance.BC is not a big factor in hunting large bears normally, usually shooting them closer than other game
Good advice! Having hunted several DG, you keep shooting until they are down and no longer moving, then a final shot to the neck to make certain they never move again.Keep in mind also, from what I have read, most big bears take a few shots to kill, one shot kills appear to be out of the norm.
Around 3200 mv, using Retumbo. What kind of velocity in that RUM with 200 grain accubonds? I remember you showing the bullets removed from the bear!
If you want anything left you need a new rifle. The 6.5 creedmore way overkill. Unless you are shooting over a mile.I might just be a scaredy-cat but if I was hunting grizzlys, I would not bring anything short of a 338RUM and would probably take my 375Ruger.
Based on the things that I've read; I know that my 6.5 Creed would be adequate but I have to justify the purchase of my 375.
