Sorry for the long reply time . NASS created a Canadian series using a rebated rim on the Jefferies .416 . Basically Remington changed shoulder angle and brought out the ultra mag. Aubrey White and his partner had brass produced in 7 mm, 300, 338, 375 and 416 with over 100,000 of each product size shells made. A factory brass. Was in production for several years before Remington. Cartridges of the World has it in their books late 80's.Gday mikar

I'm 19 for 19 one shot kills out to 450 yards with the 199 hammers.

Bunch of Africa stuff up to zebra, big hogs in Texas. Only bullet that didn't go all the way through was quartering to me shot on wildebeest at 350 yards, stopped under hide on far hip.What species have you taken with this combo?
