After the kill

Way back when I was still in the military, had one of the M65 field jackets. The original detachable hoods had coyote fur attached. Then they switched to a scratchy synthetic. Local taxidermist pulled the synthetic off mine and attached a plush coyote ruff. Much nicer.

When I lived up north I would keep the prime furred ones and give them to an old neighbor who would use them to supplement his income by selling the pelts to a few taxidermist or fur buyers. Now where I live they aren't that big and the fur is nothing to write home about so they stay as they lay.

Great, you can cook at the "Snooty Fellers Cookout"! 😄
Cookin' I can do. Bullfrogs, leopard frogs, and rattlesnake are some of my favorite wild critters. And there is always quail. I am kinda stingy with my quail. They're getting scarce as hen's teeth. But we could lie and say they are baby flying armadillos. Probably keep most of 'em for ourselves! Yeah, I almost forgot the loin of the gator. I like that with cyanine pepper sauce or jalapenos. Just one of the ways I was raised.

If you had eaten one with cyanine pepper sauce, that would have been the end of your raising.
