I have a vais brake on my 7STW, it makes the gun a little longer but its not like im trying to handle it truck trying to get it poked out a window. Length of a gun has never been an issue. Put a brake on it and bring ear plugs or muff with you when you hunt. should have hearing protection anyway regardless if a brake is installed. But I love mine and wouldnt want to shoot without it.
