Absolute Hammer load data

Updates
280 AI, Virgin Nosler brass, Fed 215, 3.335" COAL
Rem 700, 24" Criterion barrel, 1:9 twist
HV100 powder
I basically followed Steve's load data
Last time out
63.5 gr -3410 fps
64.0 -3416 fps
No signs of pressure, temp was 53 degrees.

Today, temps were 75 degrees, so I expected about 10-15 fps increase in velocity.
63.4 gr - 3431 fps
63.6 - 3441
63.8 - 3458
64.0 - 3475
64.2 - 3465 ejector mark and bolt locked up
I also shot a 1x fired and neck sized only round at 63.8 gr. Bolt locked up, velocity 3441 fps
Attached is a group at 100 yards and 63.8 gr (virgin brass). View attachment 223054
Oops, forgot to put that this was with the 140 gr Absolute Hunter.

@dougduey; another 30-06 that thinks it's a Win Mag. Thanks for completing your study.
Validated the 30-06 load today.
ES was 4 with average of 3025 fps. Shot sub moa.

Got one for the 308 win. using 162AH Peterson srp brass, win small rifle primer, 44.5 benchmark seated to 2.800 coal .003 neck tension this is in virgin brass 22 inch benchmark barrel 4E.S. 2921 fps 5 shot avg. did not measure group but it is well under 1/2 moa at 100 this is with a 5x scope First load I tried believe it or not I may be leaving a little velocity on the table but its not worth chasing, this is a 6 1/2 pound scoped rifle This is not the same rifle I was working loads up for earlier

Shot my 300WM with the 178 AH and Staball 6.5.
Rem 700 24" factory, new WW brass, Fed 210, OAL 3.687"

73.0: 3,080 fps
74.0: 3.001 fps
75,0: 3,175 fps
76.0: 3,213 fps
77.0: 3,190 fps
78.0: 3,215 fps
79.0: 3,278 fps (heavy ejector mark)

Accuracy continuesTo be excellent.
Accuracy is good at all charges or is there a particular load that printed moa or smaller? Also, I noticed you used standard 210 rifle primers. I always use magnum primers in charges over 60 grains. Is there a reason you chose this primer? I'm guessing you might pick up some FPS with the magnum primers but I'm curious if the accuracy would decline. Thanks for your feedback.

I was Actually using Fed 215M. My best group group (.63" @ 100 Y) was with 78.0 grains. i think the I trying to decide if I want to experiment with different powders or start seating length testing at that weight to see if I might do a bit better. Sorry for the confusion.

All of this was with new Peterson brass in 300 Win Mag Long. Powder is H4350. Primers were CCI (incidentally, I had 2 primer failures out of 40 rounds fired today). Bullet is the 178 grain Absolute Hammer. Started at 70 grains, worked up to 76 grains In 0.5 grain increments. Seated bullets to @3.600 coal, all rounds crimped with the Lee crimping die. The rifle has a 24" barrel and a suppressor. Here's some of the data:

70 grains high 3016, low 3003, avg 3009, sd 6, es 13

72 grains high 3100, low 3086, avg 3093, sd 7, es 14. This produced a 3 shot group of 0.46 @ 100 yards

74.5 grains high 3228, low 3220, avg 3225, sd 4, es 8. This also produced a 0.46 group

76 grains high 3284, low 3276, avg 3281, sd 4, es 8. This group was 0.613.

No signs of pressure, bolt lift was normal, case and primers all look fine.

Just ordered up some .284 140 gr. AH's for 7mmRM.
In the load data the only load for it showed R22 being used.
We have Varget,H4895,H4350,H4831SC and R19 on hand
H4831SC is just under R22 on the burn rate chart.
Hope it works, got bunches of it!

Yes sir, I called ADG and 7mmRM brass should be available this coming week
Not interested in using Hornady brass (once fired) for these new bullets.
Do you think Varget would be fast enough in a 26-06 with the 90's?
