How to pair and use a Kestrel with AB Quantum:

So question. Now that the Kestrel will pair with Quantum is there any reason to use the old Kestrel App? Also have Leica Binos and same question with that device. Thanks.

That's my problem. I don't want to add another product or app. I need a simple shooting app. This new in no way functions easy or even correctly. I wish they would have launched it separate and let us choose if and when to update. Having it update while on a trip to Texas was more than frustrating. Here I get all the way up to a good vantage point, get everything setup. Open my app to find out I can't even get it to spit out a solution.
Let's just say it's the one trip I look forward to the most because I can long range a bunch of pigs and other critters. Not the one and done elk or deer.
Needless to say I was a little upset with the new program.

I'm sure I'll get it figured out and they will fix a lot of issues but man it is frustrating. Especially considering this was my favorite shooting solution by far.

I hear you. Everytime there is a big change like this my reaction is the same. I have banged around on it for a couple hours and it will get easier. The one thing in the app that needs to change as it was hard for me to find was on the shoot screen you use the Environment tab to get to target and ballistic calibration. To me that was not easy to find or intuitive as the ^ expand collapse button is over by the density altitude. You will get it, hang in there.

KLB is still needed to update firmware on the Kestrel, and if you want to use the sectors feature. AB Quantum can handle everything else.
