Are you trying to get a certain bullet to a predetermined distance off the lands? I'd start by throating a smaller amount and shooting a few different bullets to see what your rifle likes. Keep the oal within the 2.950

Trying to utilize the full mag length. And trying to figure out how much freebore to add for the 180gr eldm.
I do know there is a 7SS reamer with a 150 freebore.

Gotcha. I started with the standard 338SS reamer and ended up adding another .120. Even now my load with a 210 ttsx fits in a standard Rem 700 mag box at .080 off and coal of 2.835. Obviously with a different bullet the coal would be longer. The SS lineup is very versatile and adaptable to different configurations.
