I have spoken with the tech reps at IMR/Hodgdon to no aviail..........

I was able to score on some IMR 4451 and 4955. These should be similar to H4350 and H4831. Unfortunately, the tech rep said the 7mm WSM is a "dead" cartridge and they decided to not waste lab time on testing that would not generate more sales.

Has anyone tried these powders in the 7 WSM? I normally use either 145 LRX or 150 Partition for hunting and load 150 ballistic tips for practice/plinking. I was thinking of comparing 270 and 300 WSM load data to try and find some stating charge weights since they do have 38 different loads listed for those two cartridges. Maybe QuickLoad is the way to go to get started with these powders?

Any thoughts from the group?

Thanks,
~JP

I really appreciate the help. These velocity predictions are where I thought they would be. I normally run at 3,025 fps with 7828, 62.5 grains at 2.860 OAL.
I know this is pretty old, figuring maybe you have some data by now. What'd you find out?
