Bownut, I have some on order, but like you have not been able to find any that I can put my hands on. Very encouraged by your initial results. Please keep the info coming with your results.

The .4 to.5 Freebore in the 7 rum is what lead to its demise ......... Since and before 1989 all of this has been tried in the STW at one time or another.......The Current Chamber Configuration is what works......Thats why its still the same ......Simply Said .....It Works

I dont want to type all of this again .......So once again.......Excesive Freebore in STW dont work

I dont know how to search within the brother hood and I have several of you on PMs and email but I wanted to see what load yall are using. I have 180 gr berger and 168 accubond LR and 168 barnes. I know brother Butterbean loves the barnes and I have to agree the idea of that bullet in interesting. But I wanted to get an idea of load and OAL that yall use. I just measured mine with the Modified cases I received from MT (thanks a bunch!!!!)

I measure close to 4 inches!!!!! that Just seems LONG!!!! 3.960 with berger 3.990 with Accubonds. To the tip.....

So what powder and depth you guys that shoot this beautiful cartridge regularly using ( muddrunner????)

I have retumbo a little bit of h1000, rl 22, 25, 33 and H4831. also Fed 215 primers.

Thanks a bunch and I look forward to the ideas and where I should start...

My load for the 140 TSX is 78.5gr of RL 25

Look at that!!! 64 pages back and my boy butter comes through!!!!! Only have 1 lb of this so I may need some retumber or RL33 callers as I have plenty of that stuff!!!

I'll have to look when I get home...I was shooting the 180 VLD's against the lands, and decided to back it off .030" to see if that will help reduce the excess pressure signs I have been getting. But haven't been to the range to check yet.

I'll check when I get home this evening and respond back with a number.

Berger 168 Vld, 78.2 grns Retumbo, CCI large magnum 50 thou off the lands was the trick for me. Chromed at 3050 avg.

Got The Scope mounting issues lined out yesterday on the new Rig( Had to cut a rail to make it work with the Montana action but it came together SWEET)Got some rounds down range today.....Loaded some of my "Go To" loads and the Survey Says......Not on the Board, They shot Ok but not what I was looking for at all....Ive had this happen before with a Brux tube so I dug into Files and I,ve got it coming to me but its on the ragged edge ...Still have some work to do but I Refuse To Yield

Oh man you're making me nervous butterbean...did you try the HSM ammo yet? The 308 you traded is on fire so I feel bad if you can't find a load for your STW. What distance are you testing at?

Everything is cool LT ...And No on the HSM, I havent shot any factory Ammo in 20 years or so, Shooting @ 100 rite now ,Like I said She's coming to me ......Say the 308 is on fire,Told ya she was a shooter

Well Brothers, My Benelli SBE 2 is got its new home and I have a Nice New to me 7mm STW that I must say looks pretty sweet!!!! I know, why tell you and not show pictures.... well I wanted to tease you!!!!

Will get pics up soon.... Need to get rid of my NPR-1 and G7 NSXs and get 2 MOAR reticles...
then buy a third for this sweet rig... Pics soon I promise..
