7mm Remington Magnum VS .308 for Long Range Hunting

like everyone has said, they are two totally different beasts. I would never compare the .308 to a Lincon, more like a Toyota hilux. Still bad *** and gets the job done, but sometimes you just need the torque of a Cummins...
I think that the 7mm seems like a good fit for the area you showed in the pic, I would tend to go with a heavier rifle, but that's just me. Even in a light rifle it will certainly give you a lot more reach.
for that kind of money I would say go for it.
I don't think that 10x is too little as long as you have a good spotting scope to count points.
