I would get the Sinclair shellholder, I got one and it's a lot better than the K&M shellholder that came in the kit.
I went with the 7 SAUM for my custom build last year. I wanted to have a rifle that not everyone knew about. You will never notice the small velocity difference between the two, but you will notice the difference in powder consumption after a while. The SAUM is very accurate as well. So far, my best group at 600 yds is
1 3/8" with 168 Bergers and RL17 running around 3025 fps. Good shooting days are hard to find around here. I also put a CSR muzzle brake on it and I can spot hits at 300 yds.
I noticed somewhere else that you said you had a 270 wsm. I ran the numbers comparing the 270 wsm and the 7mm saum. With 140 gr accobonds and the 270 wins. the 270 wsm at 2850 using the 169.5 wildcats its substantially better. I didnt compare the 7mm saum using bergers though. Run the numbers if you want the wildcats have a .740 BC and you would no better about what velocity you could reach I guessed at 2850, it can probablt do betterthan that. It appears the 270 wsm using wildcats it far superior to anything that the 7 saum can do. Tell me if Im wrong though. Thanks
+1 on the 7wsm brass is no big deal shoots great.
I'll gladly use 7 WSM brass. As soon as Norma or Lapua makes some.
You know, you could buy 300WSM Norma brass and neck down to 7mm.
