7mm 180gr Berger VLD

Just got my first three shoots throught my new atrs rifle (7rem mag) using retumbo with 64.5gr. The velocity was 2553 all three shots seated .02 off the lands. Just sighted it in so no groups yet. Is my load considered low? It seems everyone is getting to 68 grs.

To help both parties out here. I have shot both lots of 7rem and 7stw. My load data that has worked in many many many 7rem with no pressure signs or ill effects.

180 VLD
.012 off lands
69.5 H1000
215 Fed primer
this shoots all day long 2995-3010 fps brux 26" barrel.

An alternative load would be 70-71 Grains of Retumbo that shoots very well also with same spacing .010-.025 off lands.

Now for the STW

180 VLD
.025 off lands
79-81 Grains of H1000.
215 Fed Primer
this will shoot good and get you in the 3100 to 3150 fps.gun)

I have recently been shooting 71 Retumbo 215 primer 2.693 ogive to base measurement. 3080 fps with sub .5 moa out to 1050.
