7 mm SAW

Looking at the SAW, it looks like all the velocities quoted in that article are with 26" to 31" barrels. I'd like to run a shorter one suppressed so not sure what kind of speed I'd see with a 21" barrel.

I run one with a 20" barrel, suppressed. With a 150 gr ELD-X, my muzzle velocity is 2848 ft/s. I'm a full grain below my max (hot) load, and I'm really pleased with the results.

Did you try H4350, or is it too slow?

I didn't try H4350 based on the recommendations from Clayton with West Texas Ordnance to use faster burning powder for the lighter weight bullets. He recommended RL16, which is slightly faster than H4350, for bullet weights 162 gr or heavier.

Where would you suggest starting with Varget and the 150's?? 37-38gr?
