what makes the difference in tikka actions is the bolt stop and mag box .
Anybody loading H4350 over 140's? I'm loading some up. Planning to start at 45 and go up. Hoping to find what I'm looking for on the low side. Don't really want to crush powder. I have the bullet seated as far out as my magazine will allow
Heck, I'll throw my .02 cents worth in, H4895 powder and 140 Bergers worked great for me. Had good luck with IMR4064 too. Now I'm testing the Berger 150's.
Did you try H4895 yet?
H4350, RL16 and RL17 have worked great for me with 150gr bullets and up. You'll get more speed than Varget or 4064, at least a 100 fps or more..

Alright, did you crunch any powder yet?
I don't believe so. I pulled one loaded with 46gr to see and didn't seem like it was. I then worked on up to 47.5 and stopped there
If you have the bullet out a bit you should be fine. I'm crunching powder but with a 162gr A-Max and 168gr Classic Hunter and no pressure, I hear the kernels crunch as I seat the bullets.

Have you tried using a drop tube? It makes a difference on how the powder will fit in the case.
