6mm Arc for deer

I was an early fan of the 6mm ARC both in AR and bolt guns. After shooting mine probably 6 or 7 friends bought them. Those that deer hunt are very happy, those that are mainly range guys shoot out to 600 which is all our range allows and laugh at the 308 guys. Great round. Looking forward to a 22Arc.

What kind of velocity do you get with the Grendel and what is the barrel length if you don't mind me asking?
My Grendel is the 22"
My top Loads with 120g Gold dots are 2650+.
Now if ya don't know the GD bullet design is not seated deeply, the Jefferson, hinged bottom metal, I use, allows longer seating, use of a bolt action allows safer higher pressures.

My 6 ARC loads are also loaded warmer
Than AR limits. I dont remember 103/105g velocities but 2800's seem to be what I got. I like the 85/87g @ 2950's. I hopped 3k but haven't pushed as the mid 2900's+ is actually very nice for this bullet.

Thank you sir. I have two Grendel's in AR platform with 20" barrels but have never messed with the bolt version. Likely won't, but always wondered about the numbers. The last Grendel I built would give me. 2620 with Leverevolution and 123 eldm but would take my accuracy to a minimum of 1.5 moa. AR Comp gives me .5 moa all day at anywhere from 27.5-27.9. but velocity is 2525-2550. 27.7 gives single digit ES and SD and I can shoot Hornady or Starline brass interchangeably so that's where I stay. That particular load is really good in every Grendel I've ever shot it in. Which is 7 I believe as that's how many I have built for friends. In the 20" barrel I find the 1 in 9 twist to be much more forgiving with 123s during load work up. Bill Alexander's work clued me in to this years ago. My 20" 1 in 8 has been much more fickle 123s until I added a tuner. But loves 129 Accubonds.
Sorry, I like talking Grendel. It's a sickness. It's probably my favorite caliber.
