Alex shot this bedded bull at "380 yards-ish" with a 6.5x284 using the 123gr Absolute Hammer with a 3190 FPS MV. He took 2x shots and explains, "It was getting late in the day and I did not want to have to track an elk up in that snow so hence the second shot just to be sure he wasn't going anywhere.
Found one petal while quartering him up under the skin. Found one shank in the shoulder meat just behind the scapula, 60% weight retention."
