also, what would be the benefit for a 8.5 twist over a 8 twist, I dont think I would be using extremely light bullets
 
i have a rem700 classic in 6.5x55 that i have killed 1 pa black bear and 13 pa bucks with. i have never had to track any of them. all with factory ammo.
i can't wait to build one for long range, i just don't want to molest my factory rem swede.

edit: its a1-8" twist and i have shot 120 grn balls and 140 both shoot well for a factory gun
