6.5 143 ELD-X

My creed loves 147s. 48 gr of Rl26 with a 147 gets me over 2900. If your going to try it start at 46 and work up. Ive only had 1 rifle that couldn't hit 2900 with that combo. Ive shot 1000s of 147s at 1000 yards and haven't had one blow up. On my second box of 2000 now and they continue to shoot great.

Since they ( ELD-X's ) are, a Tangent Ogive Design, I'm hoping that, they can, " jump" and shoot "well", in my Tikka T-3
Tikka's have, a lot of Freebore.

There were certain lots that's that blew up. I think they resolved that. Mine were blowing up at 2950+ in a prc. The ones that hit paper were clover leaf groups. It was weird.

They work great in the kids 6.5 creedmore.......not so great in my 6.5-300 Wby. Ive killed several deer and antelope with my 6.5-300 from 250-600yds with the 143 eldx's all were bang flop. Shot 1 coyote broad side at 90yds, blew the fur off the size of a dinner plate and the coyote took off never to be recovered.

I've been happy with them in my tikka Creedmoor. 2775 FPS with a mid range load of RL26. Good expansion and exits on two rams, shoots 275 & 505 yds. No excessive damage.

Having shot my granddaughter's Creed with factory load 143's into water jugs @ 30 yards, I found them to be devastating on gallon jugs ..... bursting one and "wounding" the second! memtb

They've been good in my Tikka creedmoor. Trying to decide between them and the 156 EOL for a new 6.5 PRC.

Very explosive on Pronghorn under 400 yrds. I have seen 2 good double lung shots with pass through, stomach exploded and green stuff going out of entry and exit holes. DRT.

First deer was 381m, steep uphill shot (pic on the right)

Second was 903m (I was a touch off on wind value but it dropped her).

6.5 saum, 24", 1-8t. 3123fps -21C, 1800ft alt, 143eldx

Both passed through. Both fragmented, the far shot not as much but enough it still wrecked the lungs. The shot at 381 had significant internal damage.

143 eldx was very easy to tune.
