I like it. How about a picture looking at the top of the barrel and the forend flats.

7 pounds, 4.8 ounces. A little heavier than I expected, but not bad.
Leupold VX-6HD 3-18x44mm is listed on their website as 19 ounces.
Seekins medium rings I found listed as 2.1 ounces each.
So total should come to 8 pounds, 12 ounces.
I figured I'd have the whole package right at or maybe even slightly under 8 pounds. This is not a problem though. I didn't want a super-light "mountain rifle."

I just weighed the rifle this is meant to replace, a Kimber 84L 25-06 with Leupold VX-3L 4.5-14x50mm at 7 pounds, 10 ounces. I always thought the barrel was a little too light on that one.
 
Unfortunately I still can't just load 'em up and go shoot. I dropped all this off at Coating Specialists in Lubbock today

Mounted a scope on there. I intend to get a VX-6HD, but this will do for a while.
