I have studied bunch of different bullets trying to find the right long range bullet for my 6.5 cm 260 rem and 264 win mag .The speer 140 gold dot looks awesome and sounds good in accuracy and weight retention. I AM wondering what powders that I have would be good r26 is best but I don't have any .I will try r25 in my 264 win mag and r22 and r19 in my 6.5 and 260 rem .I hope this is awesome on deer from 10 yards to 500 we will see .

Take a look at the 140speer impact. Pretty much a tipped gold dot. Has a higher bc. My girlfriend used them this year and I was impressed with them.
H4350 burn range powders are probably your best bet in the creed and 260, might be able to get by with 4831 in the 260
I've shot nothing but retumbo in my 264s

I have a ton of h870 for the 264 but want to try r25 in it .I have a ton of imr 4350 for the 6 5 and r22 .I used r19 in the 260 but will try other stuff if I can find it I tried nosler accubonds with no luck but usually use lapua mega tips in the 260 and 264 I just wanted a longer range bullet .The 264 win mag has a 24 inch barrel and is only 200 fps faster than the 260 rem I have a bad kimber 84 in 6 5 trying to fix its problems before I would even try to hunt with it I am thinking of selling both my 264 win mag rugers but they are totally smooth and shoot clover leafs with lapua bullets just like my 260s do with those bullets .I hope these speer bullets are as awesome as reports I have seen

I've used the GD 140s in a Creed and the performance at 300yds on several mule deer has been complete pass throughs with little meat loss. My sons was through the thick part of the neck and the exit was silver dollar size. I use RL16 running in the mid 2700's. I'm going to use the 150 (non blackout version) in my 300 WSM. I've also tried the 168gr version on targets and they shoot very well.

I like the Impacts also, took a buck Pronghorn with the 140gr at 350yds with the Creed and was a nice mushroom found in the offside hide. Been playing with the 172s and 190s in the WSM and a standard 300WM. My dad was a fan of Speer bullets (especially the Mag-Tips) and I've simply continued on from him.

I haven't used nor seen 140gd, but have used Sierra 140Sbt w/imr4831 in 264wm for 40 years.

Hopefully these will shoot good in my 260 and 264 win mag. THOSE rifles need longer throats but I will wait till they start to wear before I make them longer .I hope these shoot as good as yhe lapula bullets i have used 1/2 or less at 100 yards and a few 1 inch groups at 300 yards.

I Know this is probably Speer's fault but they list the gold dot with a .571 BC and the impact has a listed BC of .526. If this is correct than it doesn't have a higher BC.
