Coyote, thanks, these came with plastic trigger guard and vent rib. There is a company that makes these in black anodized aluminum and I replaced them. Only thing I would like to get now is the front Sight Guard. Should probably check with E-Gun parts. LOL. Just esthetics I know, but would complete the originality sans stock. I had the original stock as well but but passed it along for a friends wife's similar rifle that needed a donor stock. This is her 6.5 RM now.

..as usual another cartridge and concept BigGreen sabotaged 50 years before anyone else thought about short mags...amazing how many great ideas they came up with and discarded so quickly...lol

nice rifle.i would like to get 100 grain nosler partion if they make them for my 660 for deer.
The 6.5 and 350 rem mag where way ahead of there time. It's a shame they didn't catch on. The only real limitation is the short magazine box. The 120 gr ballistic tip is a great bullet. Dont be fooled by the weight. Great deer bullet. Nosler has good load data.
