Yep it's really not something worth worrying about, but it definitely crossed my mind as I was working through the cartridge selection process for this build. I'm going to run a switch barrel with a 6.5 SS and 300 SS and I imagine I'm going to like them enough to add the 6 and 7 versions.

Also how old you are and number of outfits your shooting and,type that they are.My 338's will go to my kid at some time.Some already have.I have a 99,7.3 with 70,000,dont think im going to wear it out.

"Most" people have no idea what the SAUM is, let alone own one. They're only aware of the PRC because it's on the cover of all the magazines.

I think most folks looking for a high performance 6.5 are well aware of the SAUM. There's certainly no shortage of information about it on the web.
