Anyone try a 6.5 prc with bullets 100-120 grain. Just thinking of shooting coyotes with 100 grain Hornady. Used to shoot 100 a max out of a 6.5x47 that was a hammer on coyotes.

I don't shoot the PRC but in both my .260's and 6.5LRM I stick to the 123gr peregrine solids or 160-140gr conventional bullets, mostly shooting the Hornady Interlock.

If you don't mind blowing them up the SST and AMAX work very well.

Gory as it sounds I've cut a lot of them almost completely in half with the STW's and 6.5 LRM shooting the lighter varmint/target bullets and I just don't like seeing that.

I wand them dead, I don't however like to see them splattered all over like a giant prairie dog.

You could try the new 90 gr Nosler Varmageddon. They claim they bullets can withstand high speeds yet expand immediately upon impact. I think you would get at least 3500fps and maybe more!
