I hadn't spend much time researching the Terminal Ascent bullets but thought I'd give them a quick look and google directed me to this article.
I was NOT impressed by the writer claiming it's the "
best all-around hunting bullet made by anyone" because there are so many great bullets made these days and anyone making that claim about any bullet already has me becoming skeptical especially if that claim is made by a gun writer for a gun rag that obviously is mostly supported by advertising.
Anyway reading it with an open mind convinced me that Federal is onto something here and I left thinking this bullet might be a very good one. That doesn't mean that I'll be ditching Nosler, Sierra and Burger bullets for one made by Federal any time soon.
I tend to stick with tried and proven bullets and I've seen too many "next great thing" bullets come and go to want to experiment with others. Some here on LRH are born tinkerers and I'll let them have their fun.
Anyway... Here's the article...
Federal's Terminal Ascent bullet could very well prove to be the best all-around hunting bullet made by anyone. Here's a full review.

By the way... Am I the only one that thinks that the picture of the guy with the huge elk was heavily and poorly photoshopped? LOL
I hope everyone is staying warm. I'm into my 4th day of snow on the ground here in Tallahassee and this is getting old. I know I shouldn't be complaining because there are millions of people that have way bigger weather problems but having this here is unheard of and becoming tiring.
I'll be out deer hunting all day today but the snow has mostly turned to ice and it's everywhere but fortunately the roads are mostly back open finally. We are not poorly prepared for a snow event like this. We are NOT PREPARED AT ALL for it. <sigh>
I've lived in Colorado and several other states that get a lot of snow but they were always prepared for it. It's so rare here that it isn't economically feasible to prepare for it.
