The gentleman states that he thinks it was a high pressure round that caused it. Could faulty manufacturing have also been a factor? I am not implying anything about the firearm manufacturer, just curious.

This should be something that all reloaders should look at. A overcharged round and a poorly manufactured weapon from a smaller caliber can do the same thing to the shooter.
 
I watched that earlier today, I'm happy he had a partner there, his father to Boot!

A lucky man indeed, all that powder busting out right next to his right hand.... Chamber cap hit him below the eye... 1" higher he would probably have been dead. Not to mention the throat wound... Lucky guy, I think you used up several of your cat lives buddy...
