452 Yard Bear 300 PRC

Corey and his hunting buddy watched this bear for 3 hours. He said, "it kept tossing and turning most of the time it was laying on its side so I never had a shot. Finally, it laid on its belly and gave me this shot opportunity so I took it." At a distance of 452 yards the 199 Hammer Hunter, shot with a 300 PRC, entered the left side of the bears face, took out the spine and Corey recovered the bullet behind the opposite shoulder. Then came the hard difficult task of packing out the bear on the steep ridge.
