4.4 Miles? New Record?

Some of these people do xlr shooting only to shoot over twice their normal distance. BUT they should be able to do it with 10 shots or less? How much bc change is there? It would be nice to have a record of the impact velocity. 1 mile is challenging and 2 mile even so, but shots beyond that is luck of the draw! Why luck? The number of shot attempts! Having a calculator to be able to do that kind of distance is unobtainium. Unlike a 2 mile shot there is more info for possibilities or close to. Changing wind speeds and directions isn't an impute. 2 opposing wind speeds at the same equal distance doesn't cancel the other out. When connecting with 1 shot calling it a record is ridiculous, it's just luck! 2 in a row? 3 or more in a row.......call that a record!

Right now trying to hit a 42" target at 2.25 miles is a challenge that is very tuff within 5 rounds. But thats about where folks are being pushed to now days.

A "record" is a record regardless of its value. You could flush your toilet more times in a day than anyone else ever did - and it would stand as a record as a simple result. Its value is subjective, sure. No point getting bunched up about calling it a "record". Let them enjoy the satisfaction of accomplishment regardless of its personal value to any of us.

I agree. Anyone could hit that shot with enough time and rounds downrange. I regularly shoot and compete in Sporting Clays. Among my regular group, it's a rule that if you make an incredible shot, you have to do it twice, or it never happened. Our way of dealing with 'luck'. Haha

Ohhhhh heck no if you make an incredible shot you put the gun away and just say Nuff Said!!!
