Mine is still a copper mine, after 450 rds down the barrel. I'm going to order a lilja in 33 or 34 in soon. The barrel I have is a good shooter, I just think it's a little on the tight side of tolerances. I built this cartridge to go fast, dang it!

Try some JB bore paste. Honestly a couple strokes seems to really clean it up for me.

That is the only thing I've found that gets it clean. I've tried several copper removers. Some are useless, others work better, but only JB Bore paste gets all the crap outta there.
I acquired some CU+2 from Boretech yesterday. Seems to make lots of pretty blue goo, but I still had to get after it with JB. And around 200 strokes.
Seems like the only thing that gets my rifles clean is that old fashioned Elbow Grease!!!

@idcwby , I got an update on LRT, with 250gr Bergers.
One on the left is 121grs LRT. I'm calling this one over pressured. Right one is 120grs. I consider this the top end, in my rifle. 3308fps, and 3268fps, respectively.

I did get to 3306 with VV24n41, tho, and maybe a little room to go up.
Got my new Lilja all picked out! Can't wait to shoot my current barrel out !! 500 down the tube and counting.

One on the left is 121grs LRT. I'm calling this one over pressured. Right one is 120grs. I consider this the top end, in my rifle. 3308fps, and 3268fps, respectively.View attachment 445297

I'd definitely say you found the top. I got few plunger/extractor marks when I was doing that ladder, but never had any hard bolt lift. I wonder if your barrel is slow, I still think you should be going faster.

Yeah ,......30 shots fouls it up pretty ugly. Lots of elbow grease to clean it up, and frankly, I'm kinda tired of it. The Weatherby I uekered pushed these pills at 3400 plus. And only one inch longer, at 31in.
Seems like this barrel wants this bullet to go 3260ish. Although I'm gonna explore 24N41 a little more.

It's a two month wait, for the new one, or so, might as well use it up! On the other hand......im getting kinda low on primers. I have not seen RE33 in two years. It's probably exactly what I want! Lol
No real issues with accuracy, yet, but I'm sure it won't be long.

I've been thinking 24N41 might be good choice for me also. Have you thought about trying a different bullet? Now that you say that, 33 has been absent for awhile. Hope it's not one that got discontinued recently.

If using a lab radar, where does everyone set it? This is my first time using one with a brake and get to much blast from the brake at times.

I haven't had issues with mine off to the side but that's with RUM based cartridges. I've seen guys put it on a taller tripod above the barrel and shoot through the legs

this set up works really well . the blast from a side port brake doesn't bother the labradar . @FEENIX , figured it out . I copied his idea . run the labradar at 18" offset . if the rifle doesn't have a brake position the Labradar over the muzzle .
