338 Lapua reloading with 250 Berger and H1000, question on expected speed.

Rl33 is 50 fps faster than Retumbo and 75 fps faster than H1000 w 300 gr for me. Usually H1000 tough to beat for accuracy if you don't push it

New 28" Barrel, with about 30 rounds. 91.5 of H1000, and I see a light mark around primer. Dropped back to 91.0 of H1000. Looks promising for a group size, but only getting 2850 fps. I have Retumbo. I will try that next weekend.

For reference, I'm 30" 1-9" 5R 2850 fps w/300 EOL, 91 grains H1000.

Thats smoking...im 2860 with the 250 before i hit pressure. 2890, i see pressure issues. But im also seated shorter then u maybe.

Without looking I believe 2.989 BTO is .015 off.

After reading some of these posts I just may rethink on my loading practices and start all over with my new bbl on my Sako 42 had a 27" now am with the just a shade over the 29 in mark. Have H1000,Retumbo,VV560,RL19 & 22 plus a few others. Will need to do some homework on some new loads !! Will keep reading these posts. Thanks
