I shoot a 175HH in mine, 59 grains imr3031, gets me 3127 fps in a 21.5" barrel, 3/8" 3 shot groups @ 100 yards. Hammer has a 180-190HHT in the works that when it is released may be the ideal weight for this cartridge, may also want to look at the 186SH.

The one 175 HH we put into the WT doe this year never moved except straight down with the 338 Sherman.

Yeah, just have to use 270/280/ai brass to get proper length.

175 HH 64.5gr Varget, Peterson 280AI case, CCI 200 =- 3207 FPS

213 HH 66.5gr 6.5 Stabal, Peterson 280AI case, CCI 250 = 2843 FPS
57.5gr Varget CCI 200 = 2763 FPS

All with a slight crimp from a Lee crimp die.

I have never reached he velocities of others with any accuracy or lack of pressure signs. It runs at the top end of 338-06 charge weights.

I just formed some Norma cases, so hoping to get a little more capacity for more velocity, we shall see. Stay tuned.
