Out of over 20 remaining rifles, sold a lot over the last three years, I still have 4 308s. From a custom 700 at 18" to a Jarrett Rifle at 24". One of them, an original MkV TRR, is being rebarreled with a proof carbon at 20" in, wait for it… 308.
there's nothing wrong with a 308. It didn't stop killing effectively because of new cartridges.
