.300 Norma or .300 RUM (can’t decide!!!) What

Are the 300 Terminator and Jazz part of the 300 Norma Improved family?

Is the 300 Lapua in that category too?
It boils down to personal preference. If your action can accommodate the longer OAL of the Terminator/Jazz and you like it better than the NMI, go for it. As noted, I chose the NMI over the LMI on my last .338 build.

..338 NM vs. .338 Thor

The bottom line is to build what you want, not what others think, especially from the naysayers. This is why I never ask what rifle to buy or build. Good luck!

Nothing like building up a great Rifle , no matter what you choose ... Enjoy

I've read that in order to really get the most out of the 300 RUM it needs a 30" inch barrel.

Also, has anyone been successful in building a rifle in 300 RUM with a magazine that did not limit it's performance?

Answer to number 1.
I rekin it depends on the weight of the pill you intend to use.

#2. Seating a 215 to the optimal depth requires a Wyatt's 4" to be a repeater. So yes. I have.

What about the 230gr to 250gr bullets? Will those fit in a mag?
Not seated to optimal death, But in my opinion, if you're shooting an animal far enough that a 230-250 grain 30 cal pill is required, then you don't need to be in such a rush that a repeater is required. But you know what they say about opinions.

I'm also of the opinion, that someone needs to offer an action that handles 4-1/2" coal without a lapua bolt face.
