Ive shot the 7mm sierra bullets. The 197 were great but the 183 had different ogive measurements lot to lot it was horrible. They shot amazing but hated the change. Bergers just dominateBetter consistency overall and BC

How often are guys retuning the 300 norma improved? Seems like the 338 is easierThe 338 is a very good option but the recoil is noticeably more. You have to build the rifle a little heavier to settle them down. In general the big 338s will stay in tune better, have better barrel life, and be a little more consistent in day to day dope than big 300s will. The reason we all just dont shoot 338s is recoil and rifle weight to make them shoot well.
Nope. I've pushed the 230 Hybrids to almost 3200 fps with no issues. For you guys running 300 norma improved with a 1-8 twist have you seen any bullet failures with berger 220 or berger 245 with top speeds. The 220 at 3200? Ect.
Glad to hear that. I will stick with 9 twist for future to help with that. That is smoking too I'm pumpedNope. I've pushed the 230 Hybrids to almost 3200 fps with no issues.
If you plan to shot heavy monos at any point I suggest you go with 8 or 8.5 twist. Mine shoots the 205 Badlands SBD2 bullets extremely well.Glad to hear that. I will stick with 9 twist for future to help with that. That is smoking too I'm pumped
True. They make some awesome monos nowIf you plan to shot heavy monos at any point I suggest you go with 8 or 8.5 twist. Mine shoots the 205 Badlands SBD2 bullets extremely well.
That's a pretty awesome load right there! How much do you really gain by pushing it past that node into a faster one besides more barrel wear, more powder, and issues if the temps get hot... I'd call it a day and go shoot!Found these loads. I'm pretty low on the powder charges I get signs of pressure 84.6 grains. Speeds are ok in 29 inch barrel
