300 Norma Mag Improved. Follow along!!!

Killed a couple more bucks with the rifle. And then got home and tested some 230 A-Tips to potentially try out for next year, just to switch things up. So far so good! I've used and abused this rifle and March scope since the season started in September. Absolutely no zero shift or any funny business. Haven't touched the zero since before I killed my first buck with it.

Good shooting!
Approx how many rounds do you have through her so far?
I'm waiting on Manson to get my 40 degree 300 NMI reamer done so I can put mine together

375 rounds through her so far. Think I'll shoot it one more season how it's currently set up, and then put a 25" steel barrel and swap the TI action for a steel action also.

Nice
Have you had to adjust your seating depth to chase the lands yet?
I picked up a BAT Vesper action for my build, if you haven't researched them yet then contact unknown munitions. 26 oz and it's probably the strongest lapua action out there .
If going steel consider a Benchmark #5 deep fluted, mine weighed 2.8 lbs at 22" in 7mm. Easily the most accurate barrel I've owned

I'll chime in, using n570 the lands disappear fairly quick. I'm really nice to my barrel but it still goes. I've just chased the lands keeping the seating depth consistent and other than a slow decrease in velocity, accuracy so far has not changed.

Thanks man
Yeah N570 is tough on barrels! I plan on running H1000.
How many rounds through your barrel?

That TI action is rough, especially in freezing temps like the hunt I just experienced in NE. No real specific reason on the steel barrel. I just liked the spiral fluting on the steel barrels. So I already bought a Bartlein and had it fluted.
I just bought my first Ti action but haven't run it in the field. I did have the entire action and bolt DLC coated so I hope that helps with the "stickiness" I hear about.

I'm partial to carbon barrels but mainly for
the looks.

Keep me in mind if you decide to sell your Ti barreled action.

Bull

I actually had my 6.5 PRC TI action DLC coated and that thing is unbelievably smooth man. I don't think you'll be disappointed with deciding to do that!

For sure!! I really like the lone peak Fuzion. So I'll probably just buy it in the steel and sell the TI just to recoup the costs once I get to that point. Maybe even just DLC coat this action. Let me know what you think of yours!

I had both rifles out this year in single digits.
I have a Pierce Engineering Titanium w dlc coating. It was smooth
I have a Defiance in steel. When I rebarrel this one I'll send it out for DLC. in the cold it felt a tad sticky or grabby.
