And bring 2 headlamps if you hunt with Cody !Yup, and you will likely be shooting elk in the snow again this year on our late season hunt!

You've already got brass and dies, that's a consideration.Getting a 30 cal 1-9 twist Bartlein REM/Varmint spiral fluted right now. Not 100% if I'll stick with the 300 NMI, but at least I'm getting ready lol
what the heck would you switch too???Getting a 30 cal 1-9 twist Bartlein REM/Varmint spiral fluted right now. Not 100% if I'll stick with the 300 NMI, but at least I'm getting ready lol
Literally no idea lol. Just bouncing around ideas in my head. I was considering a standard 300 NMI without shortening the necks?what the heck would you switch too???
like my 300 NIMP ... !! it actually has a slightly longer neck you dont gain enough by shortening itLiterally no idea lol. Just bouncing around ideas in my head. I was considering a standard 300 NMI without shortening the necks?
Since you are already set up to load Norma, you could buy an Alex Wheeler designed reamer. It's similar to Mike's but I don't think it shortens neck length.Literally no idea lol. Just bouncing around ideas in my head. I was considering a standard 300 NMI without shortening the necks?
dies wouldn't workSince you are already set up to load Norma, you could buy an Alex Wheeler designed reamer. It's similar to Mike's but I don't think it shortens neck length.

Yeah, I'd need new dies. No big deal though. I have until after hunting season to tinker with ideas!dies wouldn't work
Understood. Bullet Central sells sizer die for AW design.dies wouldn't work
There's plenty of relief under the barrel so that the stock would never touch it, but something could be torquing for sure. I'll monitor it in the future definitely. How much relief is there in the barrel channel? I can put enough pressure to flex a couple of mine, no telling what random pressure on the action or barrel will do. Bell and Carlson OEM Rem stocks flex enough I don't feel comfortable digging in with the bipod Broz-style with a wedge bag and 45* bipod legs.
I use an EVO bipod with the longer legs and spikes for the 45* dig in, looks like that's what you have from the first post.
