300 Norma Mag AI Shorty Build

The stock wasn't even close to the advertised 25-26oz.. mine came in at 33oz, I'm not chasing ultralight stats so I could care less but it's kinda lame that they're off by almost half a pound.

I just bedded my 300 Norma Imp in one of these stocks. I didn't weigh it but it was definitely lighter than the EH1 that it replaced.

I have another one coming in shorty. I'll throw it on the scale and get a weight when it shows up.

I finally got some shooting in tonight, little side story I was separating the barreled action from the stock the other day to clean up some compound I'd missed.
I clumsily dropped the action from my 3' bench and the scope impacted the concrete floor directly on the rear eye piece. It hit so hard that the scope shifted sideways in the rings which were torqued at 22 inch lbs!
I was actually concerned that I'd have to send the scope back, shout out to March this sucker is tough. I re mounted and shot this 200 yard group with the same 225 loads.

Here's a pic of the scope cap dented from the concrete

I rezeroed and chronographed again, the barrel sped up since last Feb the 225s clocked 2805 with the same 85 grain load of H1000.
I sent one last 3 round group and still managed 1.25" at 200 yards.
This stock feels amazing, I'll post another short vid to show how manageable it recoils.

First kill tonight
225 eldm at 240 yards, I've never had a buck go less than 50 yards with a heart shot but this guy made it less than 10 feet!
The last pic is the exit hole, I hit him rear shoulder quartering away.
As a recovering Berger fan boy, I'll sheepishly say about the eldms:
"There's a new sheriff in town".
